To combat poverty by empowering local agencies that represent the needs of the low-income residents.
The mission of Yuba County Community Services Commission is to identify the needs of the low-income population, assess the effectiveness of the agencies that strive to meet said needs, and to deploy resources to achieve our shared goal of reducing poverty.

Access to mental, behavioral and substance abuse programs and counseling
Homelessness prevention and reduction
Temporary and semi-permanent housing
Affordable housing
Opportunity for higher paying jobs & reduced unemployment
The membership of the Commission consists of at least one-third low-income community members, one-third public officials or their designees, and up to one-third private sector leaders.
