Our Vision

To combat poverty by empowering local agencies that represent the needs of the low-income residents.

The mission of Yuba County Community Services Commission is to identify the needs of the low-income population, assess the effectiveness of the agencies that strive to meet said needs, and to deploy resources to achieve our shared goal of reducing poverty.

2022-2023 AREAS OF PRIORITY SERVICE
Creation of Affordable Housing
Homelessness prevention and reduction
Access to mental, behavioral health programs and counseling
Food Insecurity
Access to substance abuse programs and counseling

The membership of the Commission consists of at least one-third low-income community members, one-third public officials or their designees, and up to one-third private sector leaders.
